Membership
The objective of BEUC is to act on behalf of its 41 national member organisations to seek to influence in the consumer interest the evolution of EU policy.
CCEXEC Decision
Observer status to BEUC is granted on the understanding that:
(1) BEUC will only participate as such in Codex meetings when CI (Consumers International) is not represented;
(2) At meetings where CI is represented, BEUC can only participate as part of the CI delegation and not speak as BEUC; and
(3) BEUC can submit written comments only on those issues for which CI does not submit any comments.
