لجنة التنسيق للدستور الغذائي في آسيا - المنسق الإقليمي اليابان
تأسست لجنة التنسيق لهيئة الدستور الغذائي في آسيا في الاجتماع الحادي عشر لهيئة الدستور الغذائي الذي عقد في روما، إيطاليا، في تموز/ يوليو 1976. وتم عقد اجتماعها الأول في نيودلهي (الهند) في كانون الثاني/ يناير 1977.
تهدف اليابان، بصفتها المنسق الإقليمي لآسيا، إلى تحقيق الأهداف التالية مع الحفاظ على القيم الأساسية للدستور الغذائي، أي الشمولية والتعاون وبناء الإجماع والشفافية
- تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق داخل المنطقة من خلال تسهيل تبادل الآراء، حتى يتسنى للأعضاء الآسيويين أن يكونوا على دراية جيدة ويشاركوا بشكل فعال في اللجنة وهيئاتها الفرعية؛ و
- تشجيع المناقشات المفتوحة والبناءة في لجنة التنسيق الإقليمية لتحديد القضايا الحالية والناشئة والحرجة المتعلقة بحماية صحة المستهلك وضمان الممارسات العادلة في تجارة الأغذية داخل المنطقة، ومعالجة هذه القضايا في الوقت المناسب.

Republic of Korea hosts the 3rd Asia-Pacific Food Regulatory Authority Summit

Republic of Korea celebrates Food Safety Day with “Safety, Consideration, Growth and Innovation” as the theme
To commemorate the 24th Food Safety Day, the Republic of Korea held an official ceremony on 8 May.

ACT / Awareness study provides key insights on antimicrobial use and attitudes in Nepal
In Nepal, a recent study with a mixed approach of knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) and behavioural science among the poultry farmers on antimicrobial use has helped researchers gather data that will help them understand not only where there are gaps in knowledge around antimicrobial resistance (AMR), but also the influences on relevant behaviours that will help authorities support farmers and veterinarians to work towards good practices.

India organizes training for food safety officials on the WTO-SPS Agreement and food safety

ACT / Pakistan endorses its 2nd National Action Plan on antimicrobial resistance with support from the ACT project
Pakistan has successfully developed its 2nd National Action Plan (NAP) on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), which will be active to 2028.
AMR presents a growing threat to global health, food safety, and sustainable development.
