لجنة التنسيق للدستور الغذائي في آسيا - المنسق الإقليمي اليابان
تأسست لجنة التنسيق لهيئة الدستور الغذائي في آسيا في الاجتماع الحادي عشر لهيئة الدستور الغذائي الذي عقد في روما، إيطاليا، في تموز/ يوليو 1976. وتم عقد اجتماعها الأول في نيودلهي (الهند) في كانون الثاني/ يناير 1977.
تهدف اليابان، بصفتها المنسق الإقليمي لآسيا، إلى تحقيق الأهداف التالية مع الحفاظ على القيم الأساسية للدستور الغذائي، أي الشمولية والتعاون وبناء الإجماع والشفافية
- تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق داخل المنطقة من خلال تسهيل تبادل الآراء، حتى يتسنى للأعضاء الآسيويين أن يكونوا على دراية جيدة ويشاركوا بشكل فعال في اللجنة وهيئاتها الفرعية؛ و
- تشجيع المناقشات المفتوحة والبناءة في لجنة التنسيق الإقليمية لتحديد القضايا الحالية والناشئة والحرجة المتعلقة بحماية صحة المستهلك وضمان الممارسات العادلة في تجارة الأغذية داخل المنطقة، ومعالجة هذه القضايا في الوقت المناسب.

Symposium raises Codex profile in Japan
An online symposium, "Understanding the Codex Alimentarius Commission – Transition of Food Safety Standards Administration," was held on November 19, 2024, in Tokyo, Japan, to increase public knowledge of the Codex Alimentarius Commission's work.

Greater food industry engagement in Codex encouraged at workshop in Singapore
On 14 November 2024, Food Industry Asia (FIA) organized a capacity building workshop as part of its annual Members Day event. The session emphasized the critical role of the Codex Alimentarius Commission in harmonizing international food trade and ensuring food safety. Over 70 senior representatives from the food industry across Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand attended the event, which was held in Singapore.

In celebrating World Standards Day, the National Standardization Agency of Indonesia (BSN) organized the Herudi Technical Committee Award, November 21, 2024, at the Jakarta Convention Center. CCASIA Codex Workshop on Food Control Systems and Risk Assessment Held in Harbin, China
From 6 to 9 November 2024, over 40 delegates from Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam attended the CCASIA Codex “Workshop on Food Control Systems and Risk Assessment” held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China. Training on Codex food standards and antimicrobial resistance held for food producers in Mongolia
On 4 October 2024, a training session on "Codex Alimentarius International Food Standards and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)" was organized by the FAO-implemented and Republic of Korea-funded Action to Support Implementation of Codex AMR Texts (ACT) project, in collaboration with the Mongolian Food Industry Union. Understanding Codex Becomes Part of Standard Training for Young Korean Government Officers

ACT/ Agrifood businesses in Cambodia are ready to take on the challenge of addressing foodborne AMR
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is known as “the silent pandemic.” It is already a leading cause of death worldwide. If AMR is not tackled head on, it will continue to threaten many lives in the coming years.
