亚洲协调委员会于 1976 年 7 月在意大利罗马举行的食品法典委员会第 11 次会议上成立。该委员会的第一次会议于 1977 年 1 月在(印度)新德里举行。

区域协调员在日本农林水产省内开展工作。

日本作为亚洲区域协调员,旨在坚持法典的核心价值,即包容性、合作、建立共识和透明度,同时追求以下目标

  • 通过促进意见交流,促进区域内的合作与协调,以便亚洲成员能够充分了解并有效地参与委员会及其附属机构;并且,
  • 促进区域协调委员会进行公开和建设性的讨论,以确定有关消费者健康保护和确保区域内食品贸易公平做法的当前、新出现和关键问题,并及时解决这些问题。

The "Action to support implementation of Codex AMR Texts" (ACT) project is a FAO initiative funded by the Republic of Korea, to tackle foodborne antimicrobial resistance (AMR) by applying Codex AMR texts. ACT / Cambodia charts a path forward to reduce antimicrobial use through improved animal nutrition

World Food Safety Day / Workshop serves to underscore food safety commitments in Brunei Darussalam

World Food Safety Day / ACT in Nepal

FAO Nepal supported several activities for World Food Safety Day this year, with contributions and support from the Action to support implementation of Codex AMR texts (ACT) project in Nepal. World Food Safety Day / ACT in Mongolia

In Mongolia, the Action to support implementation of Codex AMR texts (ACT) project supported national celebrations of World Food Safety Day in several ways. On 20 May, the ACT team in the country conducted training on Codex and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) for students at the Food Technology Institute. Japanese restaurant company celebrates World Food Safety Day

A Japanese restaurant company, Zensho, took part in World Food Safety Day for the third consecutive year. The company organized various events to provide its employees with the opportunity to practice food safety with the theme "Science in action."
