北美及西南太平洋协调委员会区域:区域协调员 斐濟

1989 年举行的食品法典委员会第 18 届会议同意成立一个新的北美和西南太平洋协调委员会,用新西兰代表团的话来说,就是将“相距遥远的国家......这些具有很多共同利益的国家”汇聚到一起。

CCNASWP 是一个极为多元化的地区,汇集了美国、加拿大、澳大利亚和新西兰等完全成熟的经济体和 10 个岛屿小国。在这些岛国中,最大的国家是巴布亚新几内亚(人口超过 700 万),最小的国家是库克群岛和瑙鲁,人口约 1 万。

区域协调员从斐济农业部展开工作。

斐济期待在国家层面应用标准,支持该地区的所有国家——特别是较小的发展中岛国——建立完善的食品安全政策框架。这些举措将支持改善公共卫生,确保进口食品的安全和预期质量,并扩大进入国际市场的机会。

区域协调员将继续支持区域标准方面的工作,并寻求加强该区域对食品法典的总体参与。实现这一目标的途径是加强国家协调员和联络点的作用,增加和有效参与食品法典工作,从而继续在国家层面进行能力建设。

Samoa holds a week-long celebration of World Food Safety Day

World Food Safety Day (WFSD) activities in Samoa took place from 31 May to 7 June 2022, with the participation of over 1000 people. Hygiene firm Diversey focuses on food safety in month-long World Food Safety Day celebrations

As a provider of food safety solutions, the global hygiene company, Diversey, organized month-long celebrations for World Food Safety Day 7–30 of June. Boston Sword & Tuna honours food safety staff

Boston Sword and Tuna in the United States of America celebrated World Food Safety Day at its facility. Management thanked food safety employees, who were treated to a celebratory cake, and discussed the role and importance of being food safety promoters. CCFH53 / work completed on Escherichia coli and water in food production

The Codex Committee on Food Hygiene (CCFH) has agreed to send guidelines on the control of Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) and on the safe use and reuse of water in food production to the next Codex Alimentarius Commission for final adoption. The 82nd meeting of the Codex Executive Committee (CCEXEC) is being held virtually from 20 to 30 June 2022. Codex Fiji organizes Word Food Safety Day event for schools and other stakeholders

The National Codex Committee (NCC) of Fiji organized a nation-wide World Food Safety Day awareness event this year, for which the Honourable Minister for Agriculture and the Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture delivered statements. Canada’s Reseau Alimentaire will hold a lunchtime World Food Safety Day discussion
