Круг полномочий:(а) установление или утверждение предельно допустимых концентраций для индивидуальных пищевых добавок;
(б) подготовка списков приоритетных пищевых добавок для токсикологической оценки Объединенным Комитетом экспертов FAO/WHO по пищевым добавкам;
(в) определение функциональных классов для отдельных пищевых добавок;
(г) рекомендация характеристик идентификации и чистоты для пищевых добавок для утверждения Комиссией;
(д) рассмотрение методов анализа для выявления добавок в пищевых продуктах и
(e) рассмотрение и выработка стандартов или норм и правил для смежных тем, таких как маркировка пищевых добавок, когда те продаются как таковые.
ПРИМЕЧАНИЯ: переименован в Комитет Кодекса по пищевым добавкам и загрязняющим примесям семнадцатой сессией Комиссии (1987 год); снова переименован двадцать девятой сессией Комиссии (2006 год) в Комитет Кодекса по пищевым добавкам из-за создания Комитета по загрязняющим примесям в пищевых продуктах (CX-735).
