职责范围:(a) 确定本地区相关食品标准和食品管理方面的问题和需要;
(b) 促进委员会内就拟议监管动议及食品管理中出现的问题进行信息交流,并敦促加强食品管理;
(c) 向食典委建议,制订本地区相关产品的国际标准,包括委员会认为将来有国际市场潜力的产品;
(d) 为那些仅在区域内流通或几乎仅在区域内进行贸易的食品制定区域标准;
(e) 提请食典委注意,在食典委工作中对本区域有主要影响的问题;
(f) 促进国际政府间和非政府间组织在本区域内协调所有区域食品标准的工作;
(g) 履行区域的总协调作用和食典委可能委托的其他职能;
(h) 促进成员国使用法典标准及相关文本。
