GENERAL INFORMATION

The 5^th Session of the Ad hoc Codex Intergovernmental Task Force on Antimicrobial Resistance will be held at International Convention Center (ICC) from November 27^th to December 1^st. The opening session will begin at 9:30 am on Monday, November 27, 2017.

The session will be conducted in English, French and Spanish.

ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION

All participants should provide their information (names and addresses) through the online registration system by accessing the link below, latest by 27th October 2017.

Login and password for the online registration have been provided to all Codex Contact Points and Contact Point of Observers Organizations. If the login and password have not been received, please contact [email protected].

Participants are advised to enquire at the nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate, at least 6 weeks before the start of the meeting, to determine whether visas or other documents are required to enter the country. Additional information on procedures to obtain entry visa to Korea will be included in the information note for participants.

ORIENTATION SEMINAR FOR FIRST-TIME CODEX DELEGATES

The seminar will be held at the same venue of TFAMR from 8:30 – 9:00 am November 27th.

SIDE EVENTS

There will be following side events to be held during the Session:

1. Current scientific knowledge on foodborne AMR (See presentations: Food of animal origin, Food of non-animal origin and food production practices, Country experience - Republic of Korea)

2. Current guidance on integrated surveillance in AMR (See presentations - Current guidance on Integrated Surveillance, Countries experience: China, Chile and Indonesia)
