GENERAL INFORMATION

---

The 27th Session of the Codex Committee on Food Import and Export Inspection and Certification Systems (CCFICS27) will be held in Cairns, Australia from 16 to 20 September 2024.

Remote participation (verbal interventions via Zoom) will be possible for all plenary sessions and the Physical Working Group (PWG); however, Members may wish to plan to have at least one in-person delegate attend the session in order to guarantee their participation in potential in-session working groups

Sessions will take place from Monday 16 to Wednesday 18 September 2024, and the adoption of the Report will take place on Friday 20 September 2024.
Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English, French and Spanish during the formal session.

PRE- CCFICS27 WEBINAR

A pre-session webinar, which also will address first time participants, will be organized on Thursday 5 September 2024 from 12:00 to 13:30 CEST. It will be conducted in English, French and Spanish.

ON-SITE REGISTRATION

On-site registration (to collect your badges and other materials) will be available on:

• Sunday 15 September 2024 from 08:00 – 11:00 AEST
• Monday 16 September 2024 from 08:00 – 09:00 AEST at the registration desk at the venue as indicated in the information to the delegates.

WORKING GROUPS

---

A Physical Working Group on the Draft Consolidated Codex Guidelines Related to Equivalence will be convened immediately before the session, on Sunday, 15 September 2024 from 08.30 to 13.00 hours AEST.

In preparation for CCFICS27, a virtual intersessional workshop on emerging issues was held on 21 May 2024, with simultaneous interpretation to English and Spanish. Programme of the workshop is available here.
