GENERAL INFORMATION CAC48 (2025) agreed that CCFFP would continue to work by correspondence (see below), with the flexibility to establish electronic working groups (EWGs) as needed, with the below terms of reference to be undertaken within two to three sessions of CCFFP. CCFFP37 will be convened during the period 7 April – 8 May 2026 working by correspondence. The discussions and report adoption of CCFFP37 will take place in the “CCFFP37” user group on the Codex online platform (forum). Comments posted on the Codex online forum will remain in their original language, with the option to translate using the translation tool integrated into the online forum. The draft report will be available in English, French and Spanish. REGISTRATION To participate in CCFFP37, the delegate must be registered for CCFFP37 via the Codex online registration system (ORS) by their country Codex Contact Point (CCP), or, for representatives of International Organizations with Observer status with the Codex Alimentarius Commission, by their organization. And thereafter the delegate must be registered on the Codex online forum, also used for electronic working groups (EWGs). CCPs should provide information (names and addresses) of all delegates through the ORS by accessing the link below by 6 March 2026. Registration | CODEXALIMENTARIUS FAO-WHO. Please note that the email address registered to the ORS needs to be same as the one in the forum to be automatically added to the CCFFP37 user group.
Once they register through the ORS, they will be automatically added to the CCFFP37 user group in the forum. (2) For delegates without a Codex online platform (forum) account They should first create an account using the same email address as in their ORS registration (see online guide, video tutorial). Once they have registered both the ORS and the forum, they will be automatically added to the CCFFP37 user group in the forum. DOCUMENTS The provisional agenda has been published and is available below. Documents will be published below as soon as they become available. Conference Room Documents (CRDs) can be submitted to the Codex Secretariat at [email protected] with a copy to the host secretariat at [email protected] by no later than 6 April 2026, 23:59 CEST. WORKING BY CORRESPONDENCE This describes a working modality that can be assigned by the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) for the development of an approved new work to a Codex committee, which will normally not hold sessions that require the simultaneous presence of participants. For further information on Committees Working by Correspondence Only, please refer to the Codex Procedure Manual (PM), Section 3. TERMS OF REFERENCE CAC48 agreed that CCFFP would continue to work by correspondence, with the flexibility to establish electronic working groups (EWGs) as needed, with the following terms of reference (ToR) to be undertaken within two to three sessions of CCFFP:
(ii) consider new work proposals on other seaweed species and/or other aquatic species; (iii) consider replacing the maximum levels (MLs) for marine biotoxins in Section 5 of the Standard for live and raw bivalve molluscs (CXS 292-2008) with a general reference to the General standard for contaminants and toxins in food and feed (CXS 193-1995), in accordance with the Codex Alimentarius Commission Procedural Manual; (iv) review the standards for fish and fishery products to ensure they are up to date in terms of format, taxonomic accuracy, and relatedness to more recently developed Codex texts; and (v) respond to specific queries from other committees related to fish and fishery products as appropriate. |
