GENERAL INFORMATION
The 54th Session of the Codex Committee on Food Hygiene has been scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya on 11 – 15 March 2024.
Physical working groups (PWGs) will take place on Sunday 10 March as follows:

  • 9.00 - 12.00 Eastern Africa Time (EAT): PWG on Annex II on Fresh Leafy Vegetables and Annex IV on Sprouts for inclusion in the Guidelines for the Control of Shiga Toxin-Producing Escherichia coli (STEC) in Raw Beef, Raw Milk and Raw Milk Cheeses, Fresh Leafy Vegetables, and Sprouts.

  • 14.00 - 17.00 (EAT): PWG on Annex II on Fishery Products and Annex III on Dairy Products for inclusion in the Guidelines for the Safe Use and Reuse of Water in Food Production.

  • On Monday, 11 March 2024 (14.30-16.00 EAT) there will be a PWG on CCFH Work Priorities (New work proposals/forward workplan).

    The PWGs and the Plenary Sessions of CCFH54 will be webcast live in English, French and Spanish. Links will be provided here just prior to the session.

    ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION
    All participants should provide their information (names and addresses) through the Codex Online Registration system by accessing the link below, by 11 February 2024.
    Please note that only those attending CCFH54 in person should register on the ORS. If you only intend to follow the webcast, please do not register on the ORS. You can just access the link on this webpage that will be made available right before the meeting.

    Login and password for the online registration have been provided to all Codex Contact Points and Contact Points of Observer Organizations. If the login and password have not been received, please contact [email protected].

    ON-SITE REGISTRATION
    On-site registration (to collect your badges and other materials) will be open on Saturday 9 March from 14.00 to 18.00 EAT; Sunday 10 March from 8.00 to 18.00 EAT; and Monday 11 March from 8.00 to 18.00 EAT.

    VIRTUAL WORKING GROUP MEETING
    A virtual working group meeting on the Proposed draft revision on the Guidelines on the Application of General Principles of Food Hygiene to the Control of Pathogenic Vibrio Species in Seafood was convened on 26 February 2024.
