Codex Committee on General Principles

The 32nd Session of the Codex Committee on General Principles will be held virtually from 8 to 17 February 2021, at the kind invitation of the Government of the French Republic.

The opening session will begin at 12:00 (noon) CET on Monday 8 February 2021.
Sessions will take place on 8, 9, 11, 12, and 15 February 2021 from 12:00 (noon) to 15:00 hours CET.
The adoption of the Report will take place on Wednesday 17 February 2021 from 12:00 to 15.00 CET.
A tentative timetable/programme is available in the right column.


The Codex Secretariat has prepared guidance for members and observers to facilitate the smooth running of CCGP32. Download Guidance for participants (Version 1): EN, FR and ES.

A pre-session webinar, which also will address first time participants, will be organized on Wednesday 27 January from 12:00 (noon) to 13:30 hours CET.
On the right column is available the programme of the webinar.
The Session will be conducted in English, French and Spanish.

On 10 February 2021, the African Union, in conjunction with the French government and the European Commission, is organizing a side-event to highlight the involvement of Codex Alimentarius in setting up the African Continental Free Trade Area in terms of sanitary and phytosanitary considerations.
