GENERAL INFORMATION
The 53rd Session of the Committee on Food Hygiene has been scheduled to take place in San Diego, California, the United States of America on 29 November to 2 December 2022 with virtual report adoption on 8 December 2022. Physical working groups (PWGs) will take place on the afternoon of 27 November and for the full day of 28 November 2022. The PWGs and the Plenary Sessions of CCFH53 will be Webcast in English, French and Spanish.

Additional information on the next steps, the programme and other updates will be published here as soon as they become available.

INFORMATION FOR DELEGATES
Further information for delegates on the both the physical and virtual aspects of the meeting will be provided shortly.

WORKING GROUP
A virtual working group meeting (VWG) of the Electronic Working Group (EWG) on the development of Guidelines for the control of Shiga-toxin producing Escherichia coli (STEC) in raw beef, fresh leafy vegetables, raw milk and raw milk cheeses and sprouts: annexes will take place on 9 June (21:00 to 24:00 CEST) and 10 June (16:00 to 19:00 CEST) 2022. The programme for this working group is available here in English.

Interpretation services will be available in English, French and Spanish. However, the draft documents to be considered by the VWG will only be available in English. Members and Observers are encouraged to submit their comments in advance to the EWG on the Codex EWG forum.

The documents to be considered by the VWG, have been updated since CCFH52 (February 2022) based on CCFH52/Conference Room Document 4(CRD4), comments provided through the Online Commenting System (CX/FH 22/52/7 Add.1), comments provided in other CRDs presented, and discussions held at CCFH52.
