CODEX COMMITTEE ON METHODS OF ANALYSIS AND SAMPLING

The 44th Session of the Codex Committee on Methods of Analysis and Sampling is scheduled to be held virtually from 5 - 8 May 2025 (12:00 – 15:00 CEST), with report adoption on 14 May 2025 (12:00 – 15:00 CEST). Please find a letter from the Chairperson in relation to the virtual mode of meeting here.

The plenary sessions of CCMAS44 will also be webcast live in English, French and Spanish. Please scroll down to the section titled “webcasting” to access the links for each day of CCMAS44. Members and Observers wishing to only watch the webcast do not need to register for the meeting.

WORKING GROUP
The working group (WG) on endorsement of methods of analysis will be held virtually on 29 and 30 April 2025 (12:00 – 15:00 CEST).

Delegates should review the Information document: Guidance on process for submission, consideration and endorsement of methods available here.

Given the tight time frames, delegates are encouraged to review proposed methods submitted for endorsement as they become available and be prepared to offer alternative suggestions if the methods or typing are not appropriate.

The report of the WG on endorsement will be made available as CRD02.

ONLINE REGISTRATION
All participants should provide their information through the Online Registration System (ORS).

Access to the WG on endorsement will be provided following registration for the session.

Only those attending CCMAS44 should register on the ORS. If you only intend to follow the webcast, please do not register on the ORS. You can access the link on this webpage, which will be made available right before the meeting.

Login and password for the ORS have been provided to all Codex Contact Points and Contact Points of observer organisations. If the login and password have not been received, please contact [email protected].

WEBINAR
A webinar to update Members and Observers on the work of the Electronic Working Group (EWG) on sampling plans: information document will be held on 28 April 2025 (12:00 – 13:00 CEST).

DOCUMENTS
Working documents for the session will be made available in English, French and Spanish. There will be no distribution of working documents (including the report of the session) through the Codex mailing list (Codex-L) except for circular letters. All working documents, including conference room documents (CRDs), information for delegates and other relevant materials will be published on the Codex website as they become available.

The draft report will be made available in English, French and Spanish, and the appendices in English only.
