GENERAL INFORMATION
The 6th Session of the Codex Committee on Spices and Culinary Herbs (CCSCH6) will be held virtually from 26 - 30 September 2022,- and 3rd October 2022 at the kind invitation of the Government of India.
The opening session will begin at 10.30 CET on Monday 26 September 2022. Sessions will take place on 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30 September from 10.30 to 13.30 hours CET.
The adoption of the Report will take place on Monday 3 October 2022 from 10.30 to 13.30 CET.
The session will be conducted in Arabic, English, French and Spanish. Arabic will be provided for interpretation only, not documentation.

GUIDANCE TO PARTICIPANTS OF A VIRTUAL CODEX SESSION
The Codex Secretariat has prepared a guidance for Members and Observers which will help facilitate the smooth running of CCSCH6.
This guidance is available in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Russian.

PRE-CCSCH6 WEBINAR AND VIRTUAL WORKING GROUP MEETINGS
A pre-session webinar, which also will address first-time participants, will be organized on Thursday, 22 September 2022 from 12.00 to 13.30 CET. Register here for the pre-session event.

To facilitate preparations for CCSCH6, virtual working group meetings on the standards under development will be convened as follows:

15th September, 2022: 11:00 – 12:30 hours CESTvWG on the draft standard for dried Saffron
16th September, 2022: 15:30 – 17:30 hours CESTvWG on the proposed draft standards for spices derived from dried fruits and berries and an update on template for group standards
19th September, 2022: 11:00 – 12:30 hours CESTvWG on the draft standard for dried seeds - nutmeg
19th September, 2022: 14:30 - 15:30 hours CESTvWG on the proposed draft standard for chilli peppers and paprika (2nd round)
