GENERAL INFORMATION

The 25th Session of the Codex Committee on Food Import and Export Inspection and Certification Systems (CCFICS25) will be held virtually from 31 May to 8 June 2021, at the kind invitation of the Government of Australia.

The opening session will begin on at 08:00 AEST on Monday 31 May 2021, which is 22:00 GMT on Sunday 30 May and midnight between Sunday and Monday in CET. This means Monday (early) morning 31 May in most parts of the world, but still Sunday evening 30 May elsewhere, including Western Africa, UK and the Americas.
Sessions will take place on 31 May and 1, 2, 3, 4 and 8 June 2021 from 08:00 to 11:00 AEST (00:00 - 03:00 CET and 22:00 (-1 day) -01:00 GMT)
The adoption of the Report will take place from 08:00 to 11:00 AEST on Tuesday 8 June 2021, which means 00:00 - 03:00 CET and 22:00 on Monday 7 June -01:00 GMT).

GUIDANCE FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE VIRTUAL CCFICS

The Codex Secretariat has prepared a guidance for Members and Observers to facilitate the smooth running of CCFICS25.
This guidance is available in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Russian.

INFORMAL PRE-MEETINGS

The working group on Guidelines related to equivalence will meet virtually prior to the Session on 23 March 2021 from 20:00 to 23:00 CET. (English, Spanish)

A webinar on the Draft principles and guidelines for the assessment and use of voluntary Third-Party Assurance (vTPA) programmes will be held on 25 March 2021 from 13:00 to 15:00 CET. (English, French, Spanish)

PRE-CCFICS25 WEBINAR

A pre-session webinar, which also will address first time participants, will be organized on Wednesday 26 May 2021 from 08:00 to 09:30 AEST (UTC +10) or 00:00 to 01:30 CEST (UTC +2). Programme of the pre-session webinar is available here in English, French and Spanish.
