GENERAL INFORMATION The 17th Session of the FAO/WHO Coordinating Committee for North America and the South West Pacific is scheduled to take place in Nadi, Fiji from 3-7 February 2025 at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort. Please see the Information for delegates attached here. Remote participation (via zoom) will also be possible for listening and verbal interventions. The Session will start on Monday 3 February at 09:00 FJT (UTC +12). Discussion sessions will take place on Monday 3, Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 February 2025. The adoption of the report will take place on Friday 7 February 2025 starting at 09:00 FJT (UTC +12). CCNASWP17 is being conducted in English only. All participants should provide their information (names and addresses) through the Codex Online Registration system by accessing http://www.fao.org/fao-who-codexalimentarius/login/en/, latest by 25 January 2025. Login and password for the online registration have been provided to all Codex Contact Points and Contact Points of Observer Organizations. SIDE EVENTS Side events are scheduled as follows: Two side-events have been scheduled: • Wednesday, 5 February, 17-18 FJT, Q&A session with FAO and WHO • Thursday, 6 February, 17-19 FJT, Data collection related to scopoletin. SOCIAL EVENTS Please be advised that a welcome reception and a closing dinner have been scheduled as follows: • Welcome reception: Monday 3 February 2025, 19:00-21:00 FJT (UTC +12) • Closing dinner: Friday 7 February 2025, 19:00-21:00 FJT (UTC +12) FIELD TRIP A field visit for Thursday 6 February 2025 is coordinated by the Host Government to allow the delegations to experience the complete value-chain process for Kava, mushroom and Turmeric in Fiji.
