GENERAL INFORMATION
The 56th Session of the Codex Committee on Food Additives (CCFA56) has been scheduled to take place in Chongqing, China from 13 - 17 April 2026.
Physical working groups (PWGs) will take place on 10 and 11 April 2026 (see details below).
The plenary sessions of CCFA56 and the PWGs will be webcast live in Chinese, English, French, and Spanish.

PHYSICAL WORKING GROUPS (PWGs)
The following sessions are planned (English only): Provisional Agenda
  • Friday 10 April (09:00-18:00 CST): PWG on the General Standard for Food Additives (GSFA)
  • Saturday 11 April,
    - (09:00-12:30 CST): PWG on the General Standard for Food Additives (GSFA) ... cont.
    - (14:30-18:00 CST): PWG on Endorsement/alignment
INFORMATION FOR DELEGATES
To follow the broadcast please register here (Link will be available as soon as possible).
Delegations attending CCFA56 remotely cannot make verbal interventions, and they will not be included in the list of participants of CCFA56.

ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION
Delegations attending CCFA56 physically should provide their information (names and addresses) through the Codex Online Registration system by accessing the link below, at the latest by 31 March 2026.
Login and password for the online registration have been provided to all Codex Contact Points and Contact Points of Observer Organizations.
If the login and password have not been received, please contact [email protected].

ON-SITE REGISTRATION
On-site registration (to collect your badges and other materials) will be available on
  • Friday 10, Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 April 2026 from 08.00 to 16.00 CST; and
  • Monday 13 April 2026 from 08.00 CST.

DOCUMENTS
The documents for the session are available in English, French and Spanish.
All working documents, including conference room documents (CRDs), information for delegates and other relevant materials, will be published on the Codex website as they become available.
We kindly remind you to obtain all documentation from the Codex website prior to the meeting as no printed documents will be made available at the session.
