The Department of Food Technology of the Indira Gandhi College of Arts and Sciences is organizing two World Food Safety Day events this year, because of the need to “create awareness among the people and to develop their way of thinking towards food safety”.

Both events will take place on 7 June. The first event will be a 10-minute “Street Act” performed by the food technology students on the college’s Kerala campus at 11:00 local time, followed by a ‘debate programme’ at 13:00 local time that will broadcast live on the College’s radio station, IGCAS radio.
