World Food Safety Day / Students in Paraguay to discuss science in action in on-campus seminar
To celebrate World Food Safety Day 2025 the Faculty of Chemical Sciences at the National University of Asunción in Paraguay will host an in-person seminar highlighting scientific approaches to ensuring food safety across different industries. The seminar is titled “Seminario de Inocuidad Alimentaria 2025 – La Ciencia en Acción”.
Organized by Prof. Mag. Vanessa Martínez Cuevas, the seminar will open with remarks in recognition of World Food Safety Day, followed by the screening of a video created by students from the Hygiene and Food Safety Management and Dairy Technology courses.
The seminar will feature the following expert presentations:
- “Implementación de la Cultura de Inocuidad en panificación” by Lic. María del Carmen Rivas, Quality and Production Manager at Interpan S.A.
- “Aplicación de la Norma ISO22000 en la industria avícola” by Lic. Lucas Brítez, Quality Manager at Las Tacuaras S.A.
- “Requisitos del Esquema FSSC22000” by Ing. Química Griselda Cabrera, Deputy Manager of Quality and Processes at Coca Cola Paraguay.
