Join the World Food Safety Day events in Mongolia: Webinar on antimicrobial resistance and dance challenge

For the World Food Safety Day, which will be celebrated on 7 June 2022, a number of different activities, including a dance challenge on food safety, will be held in Mongolia.

As part of this celebration, FAO Mongolia is organizing a webinar on foodborne antimicrobial resistance (AMR), called “Foodborne AMR and One Health”. The purpose of the webinar is to provide updated information on food safety, AMR, Codex standards and One Health strategies, simultaneously addressing the health of people, animals, plants and the environment. The webinar will be of interest to food policymakers, implementers, inspectors, food producers, service providers and traders. The new FAO project, “Implementation of Codex standards to support containment and reduction of foodborne antimicrobial resistance (AMR)”, supported by the Government of Korea, will be also presented.

There will be also a nationwide dance challenge on food safety in close connection with the National Forum on “Food Safety, Security-Food Production” organized under the guidance from the President of Mongolia on 7 June, 2022. The dance challenge is to raise awareness on the importance of food safety and security and how everyone has a role in it. The challenge will be led by young dancers on 7 -14 June, 2022.

There will be also a panel discussion on the Mongolian National Broadcasting TV, to celebrate the World Food Safety Day, raise awareness on the healthy and safety food, AMR and One Health The events are organized by FAO Mongolia in close collaboration with the World Health Organization office in Mongolia, as well as the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, and the Ministry of Health
