The Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC) Qatar held its annual World Food Safety Day celebration across all facilities this year. The company focuses on empowering staff and customers by applying global food standards, with a view to continual improvements. One of those “improvements” is to ensure World Food Safety Day is observed as one of the organization’s annual celebrations.

This year’s celebrations included unscheduled drills and simulations on all food warehouse sites, in line with this year’s World Food Safety Day theme, “Food Safety: Prepare for the Unexpected.” The GWC Quality Assurance, Food Safety and Business Continuity Planning teams conducted the unannounced exercises, simulations and brainstorming sessions to evaluate preparedness for unexpected situations.
