Ghana launches food safety policy as part of World Food Safety Day celebrations
As part of its month-long celebrations of World Food Safety Day, the Food and Drugs Authority of Ghana (FDA) will host a webinar to mark the launch of the National Food Safety Policy in the country. The event is co-organized with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Food Programme (WFP) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Contributors to the event include the Honourable Kwaku A. Manu, Minister of Health, Barbara Clemens, representative and Country Director of WFP in Ghana and WHO’s country representative to Ghana, Francis Kasolo. In addition, the FDA’s CEO, Delese A.A. Darko and Chairman of the FDA’s Food Sub-Committee, Emeritus Professor Samuel K. Sefa-Dedeh, will participate.
