The Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization (YSMO) and the National Food Safety Regulatory Committee in Sana'a, held a national mobilization and official event celebrating World Food Safety Day.

​On 1 July 2026, the National Committee held its high-level regular meeting to reinforce food control systems, boost public food safety awareness, and announce the establishment of new central reference testing laboratories in Sana'a and Hodeidah.
