On 7 June 2024, the Japan Food Safety Management Association (JFSM) held a hybrid seminar. At the beginning, JFSM Chairman, Mr Kotani said, "Unforeseen circumstances must be included in the forecast." Next, Mr Abe from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries gave a speech.

Food safety experts gave a lecture on unforeseen circumstances in food manufacturing and points to be careful of. In addition, food business operators gave lectures on voices from the field, providing an opportunity to think about food safety together with many people.

More than 400 people participated in the event, both in person and online.  Participants shared feedback such as, "It was an opportunity to think about what we should do to prepare for the unexpected," and "It was very helpful to hear specific stories from the field in the keynote speech and case studies."
