World Food Safety Day/ Food safety awareness campaign in 30 schools in Sidi Bouzid, Tunisia
On the occasion of the World Food Safety Day, the Food Safety Agency in Sidi Bouzid governorate, Tunisia, has launched an extensive awareness campaign under the theme "Getting ready for the unexpected."
More than 4 000 students across 30 schools celebrated World Food Safety Day to better prepare for the unexpected. The campaign is a significant initiative that not only commemorates World Food Safety Day, but also aims to instill essential knowledge about safe food handling among students.
The active involvement of teachers and school staff further emphasizes that everyone has a role to play and the importance of collective participation in maintaining food safety and preventing foodborne illnesses.
An educational video was prepared as part of this initiative with the potential to reach a wide audience, amplifying the impact of the campaign. The video is intended for a broad audience, including local communities, educational institutions, and food safety advocates, to highlight the importance of preparedness in food safety. This approach underscores the critical role of education and awareness in promoting health and preventing diseases.
