Federal University of São Paulo in Brazil will hold a webinar for World Food Safety Day

Federal University of São Paulo's research group “Dialogues on risk and food safety in interdisciplinary contexts” is planning a webinar to celebrate World Food Safety Day and the theme of the year “Safe food now for a healthy tomorrow”. The event, which will take place on June 7, will see undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, and food safety professionals in the audience.

The line up of speakers includes Dr Elke Stedefeldt, Dr Laís Mariano Zanin and a representative from the National Health Surveillance Agency – ANVISA, Angela Castro.

Dr Luz Maria De-Regil, Unit Head of Multisectoral Action in Food Systems (AFS) in the Department of Nutrition and Food Safety of WHO will present about overseeing the global food safety strategy, the development of global foodborne diseases estimates and capacity building for the assessment of food control systems.

The webinar will be held in Portuguese with presentations in Spanish or English.
