The Realm of Science Advocacy and Research Centre (ReSARC) at the University of Development Studies (UDS) in Ghana is to hold its first annual “Scientific Discourse” on World Food Safety Day. In partnership with the UDS chapter of the International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences (IAAS) and the local Radio Grin, students will discuss “Academia, government and industry: the need for synergy in ensuring food safety.”

The guest of honour will be Dr. Courage S. Kosi Saba, a senior lecturer and Director of UDS International Relations, and other academics will also contribute, including Professor Elliott H. Al Hassan and Dr Francis Addy.

The physical event takes place at 09:00 local time in the university library and will involve panel discussions, dialogue and paper presentations. It is aimed at final year Biotechnology and Food Science students and is open to all.
