CCFFV23 / Standard for fresh dates will have significant impact for producers

In February this year, the Codex Committee on Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (CCFFV) completed their wlork on a standard for fresh dates and has forwarded the text to the Codex Alimentarius Commission for final adoption. Nigeria NCC meets for training and discussions

Nigeria's Codex Contact Point convened a training programme for new National Codex Committee (NCC) members on understanding the structure and functioning of Codex. CTF / Regional training of trainers on Codex, data generation and submission for standards setting

A regional East African Community (EAC) Training of Trainers (ToT) session on data generation to support Codex standards setting activities was held in Zanzibar, Tanzania, 23–25 July 2025. ACT / Cambodia charts a path forward to reduce antimicrobial use through improved animal nutrition
