Jordan Food and Drug Administration celebrates World Food Safety Day with specialized training
The Food Directorate – Domestic Food Division of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) celebrated World Food Safety Day with specialized training in cooperation with DNATA Inflight Catering Services, an inflight catering service provider, by conducting a specialized training event. The event is part of JFDA’s continued efforts to promote food safety standards in high-risk sectors, including aviation catering, by empowering workers with practical knowledge and raising awareness on foodborne diseases.
The training aimed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of inflight catering staff in key food safety practices. It covered the causes and prevention of foodborne illnesses, response procedures for foodborne outbreaks, methods for conducting epidemiological investigations, and the implementation of corrective and preventive measures within catering operations.
This event reflects JFDA’s commitment to strengthening food safety across all sectors through partnerships with key industry stakeholders and the promotion of science-based decision-making.
