World Food Safety Day / Webinar on methods of analysis for special dietary foods
The International Special Dietary Foods Industries (ISDI) association is holding a webinar titled “Methods of analysis in special dietary foods: How science ensures food safety and quality for people with special dietary needs”.
The Secretary of the Codex Alimentarius Commission, Sarah Cahill, will provide the opening remarks.
The webinar will explain how scientific methods of analysis support food safety and quality for people with special dietary needs, such as by ensuring nutritional value, enabling quality control, detecting harmful substances, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting innovation.
A new ISDI reference website for the methods that relate to foods for special dietary uses (FSDU) will be launched during the event.
