In celebration of World Food Safety Day, Cuba carried out the following activities: On 3 June, the National Codex Alimentarius Workshop was held in Havana, Cuba, with the participation of more than 80 experts, specialists, operators, technicians, and managers from the food chain, health authorities, and other stakeholders. The workshop was organized by the Cuban Codex Focal Point.

On 5 June, an exchange workshop was held by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment and the Ministry of Food Industry with food exporting companies and health authorities, highlighting the Codex objectives regarding consumer protection and fair-trade practices.

On 6 June, the World Food Safety Day event was held at the Ministry of Agriculture, chaired by the Cuban Codex Focal Point, FAO, the World Food Programme (WFP), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), and other food chain leaders. The workshop was attended by more than 70 experts, technicians, specialists, and others related to Codex, and in addition, throughout the country, activities were held in honour of 7 June, World Food Safety Day, organized by the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of National Health, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Livestock, Livestock Production, and Livestock Production, among others.
