Farmer field schools (FFS) have the unique potential of bringing together groups of farmers, livestock herders or fisherfolks to learn together on how to shift towards more sustainable production practices. A precious tool in sustainable agricultural development projects, FFS are used by many donors, international finance institutions, non-governmental organizations and implementors. 

A new eLearning course has been launched by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to provide key knowledge on how to formulate an FFS programme, through 6 interactive lessons.
