FFS and CC webinar series #5 : Can farmers become agents in Climate Change mitigation?
BRIDGING KNOWLEDGE AND ACTION: CLIMATE CHANGE IN FARMER FIELD SCHOOLS
Session 5: Can farmers become agents in Climate Change mitigation?
Farmer Field Schools in Ecosystem Restoration in the Andes
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to the fifth session in our webinar series on Farmer Field Schools (FFS) and Climate Change (CC), focusing on how farmers can become agents in Climate Change mitigation.
Following the discussions in earlier sessions, this fifth session will explore how the learning and experimentation spaces offered by FFS can be used to develop regenerative soil practices and assess their effects on agricultural production. Through interactive activities participants will be introduced to the concept of ecosystem restoration in the.
In this discussion, participants will :
-
Get acquainted with Farmer Field Schools on ecosystem restoration (process design, key topics, and learning tools)
-
Learn about farmer-led experimentation and scientific backstopping (examples, indicators, protocols, and remaining challenges)
-
Explore the potential for continuing and scaling up this work in other contexts
👥 Who Should Attend:
FFS field practitioners (master trainers and facilitators), FFS project coordinators, program managers, researchers, climate change experts, resources partners and all stakeholders committed to sustainable agricultural development
📅 Date: 02 JULY 2025
⏰ Time: 3:30 – 5:00 PM (CET)
