“Innovation in Farmer Field Schools: Promoting Community-Driven Solutions”

The Global FFS Platform is the global community of practice of practitioners and institutions implementing Farmer Field Schools (FFS) worldwide. Each year, the Platform organizes several Global Partners’ Meetings to promote exchange, share lessons learned, and explore opportunities for collaboration.

This session will invite Prolinnova (PROmoting Local INNOVAtion in ecological agriculture and natural resource management), which recently joined the FFS partners’ network. Prolinnova brings extensive experience in farmer-led innovation and is partner for the 2025 FFS Innovation Award.

During the meeting, participants will:

• Learn about Prolinnova’s work on farmer-led innovation in ecological agriculture and NRM.
• Explore the interplay between FFS and farmer-driven innovation processes.
• Exchange perspectives and experiences on promoting innovation within FFS programmes and groups.
• Share updates on key developments from the Global FFS Platform and its partners.

The agenda includes an open space for partner updates and collaboration. If you or your organization would like to share an update, please let us know so we can include it!
