Join FISH4ACP’s virtual tour and discover local solutions in aquatic food value chains, featured at the Blue Food Forum in September 2024, where the role of fisheries and aquaculture in tackling worldwide challenges such as malnutrition, poverty and environmental degradation was in the spotlight.
This virtual tour will capitalize on lessons learned from the Blue Food Forum and examine how aquatic food value chain solutions can be scaled up to help feed a growing global population while keeping our planet healthy.
Hosted by FISH4ACP, the virtual tour brings together local communities, value chain stakeholders, experts, donors and the development community in an online conversation on aquatic value chain development.
The event will cover:
- Videos featuring the black solder fly as an alternative fish feed in Nigeria and Zimbabwe, and new smoking and drying techniques for small pelagics on Lake Tanganyika in Tanzania.
- Debate with stakeholders and experts about transferring local solutions in aquatic value chain development to help tackle worldwide challenges.
- Discussions – actively engaging the audience – on how to scale up aquatic food value chain solutions in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific.
