About this CD-ROM

Software requirements

This CD-ROM operates best if you have the following software installed:

  • A reader to open the Portable Document Format (PDF) files. PDF files look the same on the screen and in print, regardless of the kind of computer or printer that is used. PDF files are highly compressed, and therefore efficient. Virtually anyone - including Windows, DOS, Macintosh and UNIX users - can view and print PDF files using e.g. the free Acrobat Reader. To download this free reader, you may either go directly to the Adobe site or install Acrobat Reader from the CD-ROM by clicking here Install from CD-ROM.
  • The Database on Introductions of Aquatic Species (DIAS) requires Windows and MS-Access 2002. If your computer does not meet this last requirement, you can install a runtime environment from the DIAS page.
