During the implementation of the project activities, the project management has experienced difficulties in achieving the targeted outputs in lack of adequate infrastructure, institutional framework and unbalanced inputs. Therefore, on call of the Project, one man Technical Review Mission was fielded from 18. 08. 1996 to 01. 09. 1996. The Mission visited a number of private sector farmer's ponds and project sites (includes the proposed site of Fish Seed Production and Distribution Centre at Mirpur, construction site of Fish Seed production and Distribution Centre at Chikar and Nursery Unit at Panjgran) at Mirpur and Muzaffarabad districts to observe and assess the adopted procedure and technology by the Project in the field. Besides the field visits, a number of discussions were also held with the Project staff, senior government officials at all levels as well as with the authorities of FAO and UNDP and the status of the project was assessed in terms of outputs produced to date. The impression drawn by Technical Review Mission on the project activities is shown in Annex - XIII as the Mission's conclusion.
