Virtual Safety at Sea Refresher Workshop for trainers of small-scale fishers in the Caribbean

A safety at sea refresher workshop is organized to update the knowledge of Caribbean safety at sea trainers and share the latest information on fishing safety, in order support the trainers to carry out their important educational tasks.
The workshop will:
- Provide an update on international conventions and guidelines on fishing safety.
- Discuss the safety at sea training materials developed and their use in the region.
- Present an overview of new fishing safety materials and courses available.
- Discuss trainer’s essentials.
- Provide an update on formal and voluntary accident reporting systems.
The workshop organization is hosted by the “Climate Change Adaptation in the Eastern Caribbean Fisheries Sector” project (CC4FISH), and support is provided by the FISH Safety Foundation (FSF) and the FAO Fishing Technology and Operations Team (NFIFO).
