Two new reports demonstrate the impact of FAO’s partnerships with Belgium and Sweden

03/12/2018

Today, FAO launched two new reports in time for the 160th session of the Council: (i) FAO + Belgium: Inclusive approaches to end hunger and promote prosperity, (ii) FAO + Sweden: A report on partnership. Showcasing success stories and beneficiary testimonials from around the world, the reports demonstrate the impact of FAO’s partnerships with Belgium and Sweden in 2016-2017.

Both countries are firm supporters of flexible, un-earmarked funding. The reports thus also highlight how support to FAO’s Multipartner Programme Support Mechanism (FMM), the Special Fund for Emergency Activities (SFERA) and other innovative and multi-year facilities enables efficient collaboration towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals at national, regional and global levels.

1. No poverty, 2. Zero hunger, 5. Gender equality, 8. Decent work and economic growth, 10. Reduced inequalities, 13. Climate action, 14. Life below water, 15. Life on land, 17. Partnership for the goals
