Experts in fisheries/aqua-feeds estimate that a quarter of fisheries wastes are discarded, causing a significant environmental impact and loss of potential product value. It is important to find adequate modalities to manage fish waste.
This study aims to analyze both production and marketing of canned sardines using VC method. The goal is to quantify the creation of VA and examine distribution among the different actors within the chain.
This report aims to increase awareness of the value women bring to the seafood industry, and to encourage business leaders and policymakers to consider women when developing a new project or a policy.
