After seven years of absence, FAO Statistics Division publishes today the 2020 Statistical Yearbook. This renewed commitment is a demonstration of the importance and value that FAO assigns to the production and dissemination of timely, accurate and high-quality statistics.

The 2020 Statistical Yearbook provides a useful tool for policy makers, researchers and analysts, as well as the general public interested in the past, present and future path of food and agriculture.

Statistics are presented in four thematic chapters covering the economic importance of the agriculture activities, inputs, outputs and factors of production, its implications for food security and nutrition and its impacts on the environment.

The companion 2020 Pocketbook, provides an easy and simple way to quickly access top-level numbers, charts and maps covering various dimensions of food and agriculture.
