The Agricultural Integrated Survey (AGRISurvey) programme launched its new page in the FAO website. AGRISurvey, one of the main projects in FAO Statistics Division, supports countries in their efforts to improve and strengthen national agricultural survey systems and to enable access to agricultural statistics. AGRISurvey provides technical asssitance to national statistical offices and relevant agencies, in developing  and implementing their agricultural survey programs. Better systems enable countries to generate a regular flow of agricultural statistics that support decision makers in shaping better policies and programmes to tackle poverty and hunger, and assists in monitoring progress towards the SDGs and other goals. At the same time, through capacity building activities, the programme empowers national partners so they can gradually take over the implementation of the survey. One of the main goals of the programme is to strengthen countries’ processes for data dissemination and to promote data use activities to ensure that survey data are effectively used to inform decision making by key actors. AGRISurvey is implemented with the support of different projects, in particular the newly established 50x2030 Initiative to close the agricultural data gap. This Initiative is a multi-partner programme that seeks to bridge the global agricultural data gap by transforming country data systems in 50 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America by 2030.
