Regional training workshop on food security analysis of food consumption data of National Household Surveys (NHS)

The FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (FAO RAP) with the collaboration of the Thailand National Statistical Office, is organising a regional training workshop on the analysis of food consumption data collected from National Household Surveys (NHS).

Objective
The objective of the regional training workshop is to train national experts in the processing and analysis of available National Household Surveys (NHS) food consumption data to derive food security indicators at national and sub national levels for the assessment and monitoring of the country’s food security situation.

Participants
Two senior level officers respectively from the national statistics office (NSO) and the food security unit (FSU) of the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) of Bhutan, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Viet Nam have been invited on the basis of availability of suitable food consumption data from a recent NHS.
