Global experts united to advance food allergen risk assessment – Video and report out!

Food allergens affect millions of people worldwide, posing significant challenges for food safety, consumer protection, and international trade. To help address these challenges, FAO and WHO convened a global Expert Consultation on Risk Assessment of Food Allergens at FAO Headquarters in June 2025.

The outcomes of this consultation support national authorities in adopting evidence-based policies, help food businesses apply consistent practices, and ultimately provide safer food options for people with allergies.
