The Agrifood Systems and Food Safety Division (ESF) is pleased to announce the publication of the report “Let Learning Lead: A Promising Practice for Agrifood Systems Transformation. Emerging Insights and Innovations from the SFS-MED Experience”, sharing key insights from a workshop that has energized efforts to transform agrifood systems across the Mediterranean.

The two-day event, “Agrifood Systems Learning for Change – The SFS-MED Experience”, held at FAO Headquarters, brought together around 40 among experts and stakeholders to capitalize on how shared learning and collaboration can drive sustainable change.

Part of the Systems Change Learning Portfolio, the workshop leveraged the power of collective reflection and open dialogue to illustrate how enriching and expanding systems change learning is of key importance for agrifood systems transformation. The workshop built on this foundation by creating a “learning lab” environment, where participants from different countries could engage deeply with stories of change and strategize on how to amplify their efforts.

Read the report to discover how continuous reflection, collaboration and knowledge exchange can help stakeholders navigate uncertainties and build more resilient agrifood systems, leaving no one behind. The commitment to let learning lead will remain at the heart of efforts to cultivate a sustainable future for agrifood systems.
