Summary:
Croatia is a Member State of the European Union and the the eu Regulations of GM foods takes place at the EU level. Safety assessments are carried out by the EFSA and include detailed study of possible negative, toxic, nutritional and allergenic effects. Competent Authorities of the the European Member States are consulted during the evaluation of the applications. Authorisathionsare granted by the Eurropean Commission in the Official Journal of EU and directly applicible in the whole EU.
