Summary:
The Ministry of environment (MINAN) is the instance of inter institutions coordination in the field of conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity and, as such, promotes, through the Structural Framework of Environmental Management, between the competent authorities in matters relating to safety in biotechnology. The MINAN is composed of directorates or offices of public sector entities which are: National Institute for Agricultural Research -INIA, National Institute of Natural Resources - INRENA, National Agrarian Health Service - SENASA, General Directorate of Environmental Health - DIGESA, National Institute of Health - INS.
