Summary of the evaluation If bacitracin is used, it should not be allowed to give rise to detectable residues in food for consumption by humans. If the methods of analysis recommended by the Committee are used, it will be possible to ensure that the residues in food will not exceed the following limits: Milk 0-1.2 IU/ml Meat, 0-0.7 IU/g and Eggs 0-4.8 IU/g (1 mg of bacitracin = 42 IU).
