Since nystatin is used only externally and not in food itself, only trace amounts are likely to be present in food for human consumption. If the methods of analysis recommended by the Committee are used, it will be possible to ensure that the residue levels in such food will not exceed the following levels: milk 0-1.1 mg/kg and pid=63155; meat 0-7.1 mg/kg and eggs, 0-4.3 mg/kg.
